Did you have instructions? Maybe the front windows wouldn't be that difficult, but I can see the back window being trickier.

don't do it...seriously. i have a beater truck that i've tried 3 times to tint just the back window and each time i've given up. i tinted the sunroof on my old car and it took me 4 hours...and that was a flat square piece.
doing the rx8 would be a total pain in the ***. the rear window is next to impossible for an amateur and probably most professionals. the 1/4 windows would be too since they have the latch riveted through them. most places can do your car for ~$120 using laser cut llumar, which is probably the best value as it will last longer than you'll own the car.

Got a ricer shop to quote doing all but the front. I've seen their work and it's top quality. They wanted $160. Said the back window was gonna be where most of the labor cost was.
Just waiting for Santa to cut them a check.

I got mine done here in orlando (Lake Mary, actualy) and it was 120 for all 5 windows (4 sides and back) and the sunroof, so 6 parts total. It was 15% all around (technicaly illegal since you can have as dark as 15% on the backs, but the driver/pass fronts have to be 30% or lighter, its dark, but not to dark (you can see people moving around and stuff in the car, but you cant tell who it is) It came with a lifetime warrenty. Pretty good if you ask me.
When I tried to do the windows in my car, I did it just like the shops do....
Put the film on the outside of the window, cut it, then using soapy water, place the sheet, squeegee the water out.
The film cost me 40 bucks to have enough to do the whole car (mitsubishi montero) and all the windows in that car were flat squares, and even then it was a bitch, not worth the time/hassle.

Correct, it is so not worth the hassle. DIY window tinting just never seems to be perfect and it turns into a waste of money. I was tempted to try it, but I saw my friend tried doing it and it sucked.
