Drivers side mirror help

I broke my driver side mirror, glass is shattered. I ordered new glass. Does the piece just pop out?...How do I take it out? Help?

Ball joint......

Power it "in" until you can get a tool in the outside edge, then pull the edge out, it's a ball joint.

Make sure it's a nice warm day to avoid breakage......
