Hey guys... I was wondering what your opinions are about putting this emblem on the front of an Rx-8. I think it looks pretty good. Please give me your thoughts on this.

It's up to you though, I personally love the Efini emblems but it just doesn't go with the 8.

 

Why not? Chrism has one and it looks awesome. What other emblems are available that look good? I kind of want a rotary emblem on the front.

 

It just seems out of place especially when the days of the Efini division is long gone.

 

thank you.....i saw in the super autobacs thread quite a few 8's that have the emblem in the first pages.....and if we are trying so hard to mimic thier lifestyle and everything jdm (kits and wheels) is uber sexy then why arent the emblems?....i think thats just being hypocritical in my opinion

 

There is nothing hypocritical about it. Efini logos just don't belong on RX-8's.

I'm getting an RX-7 badge on my car. It'll really trip people up.

 

Could you post a pic of it? Is it the Spriit R badge?

1. its your car, do whatever the hell you want to it. if you think it looks good. go for it. dont let random strangers tell you what to do. if you were a democrat, you wouldnt let a random republican tell you that bush is the greatest president since nixon.

also, chris, how did you tint your rear lights? i have a lexan cover, but i havent had the time to do it. yours look really good. is it a professional install?

 

No, I can't back that up. I was being sarcastic. Why would I put an RX-7 badge on my car when I have an RX-8?

All of my emblems are shaved.

 

It's your car, what I said is only my opinion, don't let it stop you from wanting to do what you want to your car. I just think it'll look kinda weird and out of place but if you want to do it, go ahead I hope I'm not discouraging you to be original or anything.

 

I would think that this is along the lines of kids putting Type R stickets on a Toyota, or a TRD sticker on a Honda.

 

putting the efini emblem on a rx8 would be an example of the textbook defination of rice

kinda like USDM civic "typeR"s

I had the Efini emblem on my FD back in the day, and I thought it looked great. I wouldn't put one on my 8 though. My $.02

How do you guys feel about putting newer emblems on older cars though? Maybe a flying "M" on an FC or build a modern RX-7 emblem out of an RX-8 and CX-7?

 

Ummm.... No. It would be more along the lines of a honda sticker on an acura. Still the same company. I think it's a good idea. Do it! I agree with Chrism on the whole JDM lifestyle thing.

i did it myself with a few light coats of VHT nightshades spray.....you have to be careful though because it gets dark quick when you spray it on....these are a spare set of tails i bought off ebay

 

i like the look of it and it would def, look good on your body kit. I think only people with body kits could rock that emblem. a stock 8 would just look dumb.
