Emblems?

I was thinking about removing the emblems off the rear end of my rx8. Does anybody know if there are holes underneath them? Thank you in advance.

Figured! The "RX8" emblem is the only one I've kept! Does anyone know, about, how much it costs to have a body shop fill and paint the holes. Prices without "my cousin owns a bodyshop" hookups, that is?

Two-fitty! Good Lod! That's a lotta money! My color's pretty complex. Phantom Blue, turns green and blue in different light. Would they just "eyeball" the paint or is Mazda paint avail.?

yeah if is a mica or pearl paint its usually a 3 stage paint which is big bux.....then you gotta add in the welding and sanding of the holes from the emblems and then a repaint....so 250-300 is average for the more expensive colors and for the basic non mica colors expect 200-250

$300-$350 really isn't that much money.

true $300 is not a lot of money in terms of modding cars, but it is quite a bit for just trying to fill a few holes that is smaller than the surface area of a quarter when combined.

since this is emblem related, and I dont want to start a new thread. Where is a cheap place to buy a mazda emblem. I want to buy a mazda emblem on the front bumper once i install my body kit ( to give it a little oem look) but I dont want to drill holes, incase i change my mind later. Is there someone I can buy cheap tape-on emblem?

thanks

Can someone tell me the size difference between the front and rear Mazda logo badges? I had them replaced when I had my trunk lid painted and I dont think they put the right one on.

trunk price

I've already debadged the trunk (except the RX-8 - moved that to the center below the 3rd brake light). I've debated getting them filled vs just buying a new trunk lid. I imagine a whole new trunk lid is more expensive ... but ... i have the oem spoiler and i want to get the ms spoiler ... so ... with that in mind, does anyone know if the ms spoiler would cover the oem holes (i think it would b/c it has the lower lip spoiler that runs the length of the trunk, but i don't know for sure). if it does, i can keep my current trunk lid and just get the holes filled, then get the ms spoiler. if it won't cover them, i might as well get a whole new trunk lid!! can anyone confirm this? gracias.

Another option would be to get a rotary or RX8club.com sticker from PoLaK and put it in place of the holes. I've seen this done once before.

Personally I like the balance that the stock emblems have looks wise but can't stand seeing a dealership sticker on the back of the car.

When welding was mentioned above I believe quite a few places use ledding. Which fills the holes with metal but there is not actually electricity used unless it is an iron for heating. My uncle does this and it is almost like soldering. Very quick and easy.

Paint on the other hand gets expensive for materials.
