Eyelid removal

I searched but couldnt find any answer. i need to take off my eyelids and have them professionally painted, but they said that they might break, being the way they are. So i figured since i cant buy them any more i dont want that to happen. it's only on with that 3m (i think that's what it's called) double sided tape. is there a easy way to get these off? maybe goo gone?

Fishing line wire might be able to cut through it

Be careful with this method though the lense covers can easily melt too...

i'll just heat it up a little and go to it with some fishing line and goo gone, hopefully it wont be to hard. any ideas on how to get the rest of it off though? cuz if i use fishing line it will just basically cut through it, so how would i get it off the car and back side of the eyelid?

Instead of fishing line, you can also use dental floss. Just tie a knot in it about every 1/2 centimetre to give it some teeth.

Test the Goo-Gone on the headlamp very carefully. It shouldn't hurt the lexan / plastic / whatever lens, but you can't be too careful (the headlight ain't cheap).

If you are concerned about Goo-Gone for anything, then WD40 and a 'scrunge' pad (plus a lot of additional time) should do the trick.

G'luck.
