Eyelids For VR 8

Anyone know where I can find Velocity Red Eyelids for my 8? I've been looking around but they are either Carbon Fiber or plain white.

I did find one site that sell them for $129, is that reasonable?

thats a decent price i guess...if your comfortable with painting, you can always get color matched spray paint online and do it yourself..either way youll probably end up paying between $75-90 by the time your done.

Do you think if I buy the unpainted Eyelids from that site ($69) and then take it to a Paint Shop it would cost a lot to paint them?

I can only find touch up paint, you think this will be enough for 2 eyelids:

I read that you cannot buy Velocity Red in a spray can because of it being a 3-stage paint.

Do you actually plan on using a tiny brush to paint the lids?

I can assure you that it will be impossible with the OEM touch up bottles.

ha evo-r, better get in contact with him now...its hit or miss with him, sometimes things show up in a few days, sometimes you go months and have to post badguy threads on all the forums he sells on to get a response and your money/item..

Hey theres a few sites that sell oem tri-color paint, which is what your talking about. One can is base, one is the flake, and the last can is the topcoat. Ive painted my own for my WWP, which I can promise you is a lot harder to match then the red. Problem is tri-color paint cans will run you about 30-40..do the math, you might just want to get them pre painted if you can.

Yeah that would be around $110, and I can just buy the pre-painted eyelids from Evo-R for $129.
