Fender streaks - expensive...
Hi guys
Any idea why these fender streaks are so expensive? I really like them but...
Can I find some cheaper (in price not quality) from a source different than Mazda? Excuse my newbie questions...

Hi Outlaws eXtreme
First, I haven't bought anything yet...
Second, Mazda.usa offers them for 250 bucks. And I am just saying it is not good value for money.

Third, I do not want to think how much they will cost in Europe where I *will* buy my car.
Thanks anyway

DLS Customs.....
I have the DLS strakes, got some of the first they ever made. I am VERY happy with the quality, and being plastic, they are holding up well.
The British price for strakes IS insane, but they chose to do something about it - the Mazda aluminium ones are corroding in the english rain, so they buy STAINLESS aftermarket sets, for reasonable money on ebay.
Link to UK ebay strake auction....

P rx-8,
Since you are buying your RX in Europe, you should REALLY look into purchasing them from a guy out there named Howard. He usually sells his strakes on ebay or from his website.
The difference with his is that they are STAINLESS STEEL and not that cheap aluminum that Mazda sells you.
Do a search and you'll see that quite a few people here have bought strakes from him. (they're even cheaper then the aluminums)
HA, found him! His ebay id = howardfb
His website is: http://www.rx8-accessories.com/
P.S. I ordered mine from him last week and I'll let you know how the quality is when they arrive...

I have the stainless steel strakes from Howard and they are GREAT! I have chrome rims and they look great on the car! I'd recommend them and I don't think the cost is really that bad for the quality you're getting in return.

I'd stay away from DLS customs on this site, at least temporarily. I got my strakes from them and they turned out AWESOME, but it seems there are problems keeping up with demand lately, as can be seen in this thread:

Howard's are under 150 and are stainless steel.
