Fender Vent DIY

After staring at a foreign language for a couple hours I stumbled across a really good DIY mod. Figured I should share...

(Direct translation from babelfish adds a little comedy)

It is processing the fender grille.

Grille under photograph to grille above

It keeps cutting with the cutter knife.

Patience needs suitable, (the ^^)

Way the finger is not flown,!

(Paying attention on self responsibility.)

The part, with left and right, is about 1500 Yen.

With such feeling, the ちび ちび cutting

It goes.

If there is a compressor, with the air saw

It can make easy, however it is, don't you think? the ぇ.

Furthermore, it finishes to here.

Before painting, already just a little it is to be cut off, does.

Temporarily, time it is required.

Headache may do,

When it paints, such feeling?

Already, just a little, the finish is bad, don't you think? is.

The mark of the paper coming out, it increases.

(Also the photograph is bad, is.)

It is halfway lapse.

Because there are left and right, it is serious.

After, of the net is not thought, as for the て.

When you complete, such feeling

Paper in 400.600.1000 turn

Applying correcting, re-paint

Brilliant black for ホルツマツダ car

As for wire net, at foam/home center,

One for screen door of 10 cm 100 Yen

Net of aluminum

The reverse side, turning back,

Stopping at the hot bond

Completion!

When you install, it becomes such feeling.

Because the inside, is completely visible, unless it paints in black, (the ^ ^)

You do know they will still be useless unless you cut the plastic behind the front wheels

Well if you cut lengthwise split/strips in the plastic behine the front wheels then they will let air flow out.

I would say there's a couple ounces of weight reduction. For that, I shall do this mod. (I wonder what kind of paint he used?)

Good one dills! Oh don't sweat it, I didn't translate anything. I just plugged the address into a language translator and that was what popped out.

I'm not saying this is a functional mod, I just can't stand how the side vents look. Not a fan of plastic...

Thumbs up

Did Mine today, took all day since you gotta wait for paint to dry, but the results are...., well he are the pics. I took the last picture with the flash on, so you can see that I did not use a grill but painted the inside part of the fender wall, plus I painted them in low gloss black, instead of the glossy black. I put a grill on the first one but took it off because didn't like the look.

Enjoy,

RX8Power
