Finished Full Veilside D1-GT (version 2) kit
#51
after looking at your car with that kit, i think im going to keep my xmen spoiler, they really do compliment each other very well, the way the rear of the veilside kit points downward and the wing points up, an rmagic wing may look good on there too but i like what you have done, dont listen to everyone telling you to take off the wing, obviously if your being sponsored by mazda their opinions mean jack, so good luck, and ill post some of mine when the kit gets here...in july :-/

P-rock your wrong the show filled up so quickly Myles the Director of Marketing shut down general registration and asked that you send photos of your car via e-mail to him to recieve a pass code to register and that's how io got hookep up with Mazda. And all they did waas pay my way, I stated that eariler.
Anyways the show was great. I spoke two three other RX-8 Club members and there was one other one there. Out of less than a dozen Veilside D1-GT kits (I think there are only 3 FULL kits but I may be wrong) in the US two are in NC within an hour of each other. We both were at the show He was sunlight silver with JIC suspension & exhaust, racing seats, carbon fiber wing, and of course full VS D1-GT kit. We were both astonished to see another RX-8 with this kit. Unfortunetly niether of us placed but we did get alot of attention, especially with almost identical body work.

Horse, how were your side skirts for fitting? Did you need to mod them?
Just tried to have mine fitted today and they have to go back.
They are actually different shapes from left to right, the left hand side one has an extra chunk of fibre glass, whether its there for strength in the mould and wasn't removed, but it basically stops the side from going on.
Also both sides (ignoring this extra ****) don't fit at all. The rear section that has a flange that sits flush on the bodywork is at the wrong angle which mean the underside of the skirts are about 3 inches away from the bodywork and cannot be fixed. Also makes the angle of the skirts wrong and sticks outwards from the car...
Not a happy camper at the moment, just got onto the UK Veilside supplier I got them from, they are coming to collect them and get some replacements sent out (if they have any in stock!)
Just the small matter of recouping the spraying costs from them now...
Lesson Learnt : check they fit before you get them sprayed.
(In my defence I have the front splash guards at the moment, and was too lazy to remove them to check they fitted before sending them to get sprayed! - Will be checking the replacements fit!!!)
