I didn't read this entire thread but really, do what you want to your own car.
RX8 club isn't exactly the epitome of "good" taste. There are plenty of users who love things such as color matched OEM interior/engine bay parts, blacked out tail lights/badges, silly decals, chrome trim pieces, etc. I wouldn't say I'm fond of any of these, though others would just as quickly say the same for my wheels.
The whole point is, mod your car for yourself, not some silly internet forum.

Your car so do what you want. My opinion is no stickers, makes car look cheap. Sorta like neon lights all over the place and a wing made of plywood. My favorite is seeing cars painted with interior house paint and spray painted spinner hub caps.

I'd repaint it yellow... some one tried to repaint the hood and did a upmost horrible job.. and i have a crushed in driver side front fender, so im thinking of replacing it one day if i can find it cheap.. preferably already yellow
and i'd like to see how paint melts. lol
like its boiling point, if any

And yes a paint gun CAN cause damage if not used properly. If it hits 1000 it can melt the paint if held long enough in one area.

ummm, ummm, ummm.
Wait. My mom told me "if you don't have anything good to say, say nothing at all"
OP: If I were you, I'd call Mazda North America and get a service history on the car. Get your title and make sure it's clean or salvage/repaired. Head to the dealership and get a compression test and while you're at it and check your cat.
Once you do that, then worry about the exterior stuff.

I'll go see this one Mazda place that is local, appears reputable.
On another note, I had a misfire this morning and had the check engine light come on.. My friend's dad owns an import shop, so I got a free diagnostic check, and its rotor 3 that is misfiring? They were going to charge me $271 to fix it, including labor.. I found out later when I said no thx that they were just going to replace the coil. Like wtf? Hella expensive. I thought they said they would just do that one spark plug too, but nope.. Just a coil.. I'm going to the auto store to pick up some plugs and coils right now. 12 mpg is killing me
How do i find out which rotor is which for the coils? I'm not sure how I would find that one out.. I searched, but had vague results

because of talking about some decals? or just in general? i dont really see the problem here, especially since the only thing on the sides of my car is yellow paint, thats it. i've already decided no flames. im putting that money into sparks and coils for that inner flame. sorry i havnt owned my 8 as long as you? damn

I haven't had my eight that long either, but there is a wealth of knowledge on this forum, you just have to do some leg work. Love your car? Learn about your car then.

like I said, i really wasn't trying to offend you. it's just there are people who buy a nice looking car, and when things go wrong, they don't know why.
You have a wealth of knowledge at your fingertips. use it.
Don't try to make it look good to pick up the ladies, only to have it break down in 5 min, and you're humming and hawing and looking like a fool...
Take this as constructive criticism. learn about your car, fix the problems, and then you'll pull the hero card with the ladies

i was well aware it wouldnt come out right.. i would understand better if it were a piston in the engine of my old car that wasnt firing. thats why im confused, because the dude just said #3. i already understand how a rotary engine works, im just getting closer and closer to knowing it better though.. this is my learning curve.. i doubt you all knew how a rotary worked right off the bat.. there must have been one point in time where you were learning too, because nobody knows everything

OP: Have you read anything other than the "what not to do to your car" thread here?
If you haven't, spend some time reading the FAQ's and the New and Potential Owners thread. It will save you from a lot of flaming, it will make you wiser, and it will save you money in the long run.
