id go flat black if i had the money. it just looks aggressive and mean! my rims are flat black thats probably about as close as i'll get.

 

PPG made a statement a while back about why they won't invest in flat paints for mass production. Their reasoning was something along the lines of it being a fad and also that when you wash/wax/polish a flat car you are going to be making it shinier resulting in a totally heinous looking finish with a shiny, matte and flat look all over. In essence, flat doesn't work.

I do dig that vinyl wrapped idea. Any more info on that?

 

I have satin black on the roof, and on my wheels and after months of washes its still the same finish, however I cant wax the surface for said reasons^^^ ,,,

 

Overlay is probably the way to go with flat/satin colors.

 

dude flat black is ******* awesome but its just as much work as having a BB rx8 its gonna be more work to clean and wax actually at least i think so

 

So its a done deal, im going to "flip" the colors of my rx8, Flat Black where the velocity red is, and flat velocity red where the black is. Might not be "murdered out" but i htink it will be badass, please save the hate comments for another thread lol. Im gonna try and photoshop this color scheme so i can see what it will look like...

 

You will need kit, agressive wheels, and drop to pull that off.

OK nvm, now that i look at it, it looks kinda silly, i guess ill go all over flat black, i need to incorporate VR into my exterior somehow tho, cuz i have the two-tone interior.... any suggestions?


On another note, a 2009 RX8 would look Killer with my paint scheme =]

 

Just repaint it VR and drop it. It will cost you less money and will look 100% better than it does now or whatever you are dreaming up.

Yeah, Veyrons have the same color scheme, but people have been doing it with mazdas longer, especially the 3G RX7.

You could always just get a red pinstripe on your rims. Should be just enough to bring it out.

Like was said, MS kit, pinstripe rims, drop, and tints would bring it up to significant bad-assery.

 

Yeah, i was thinkin the same, honestly i think it would look good with the color sceme above, the one on my car now, or all flat black. Prolly not gonna go with the MS kit tho, too many people have it. Was looking at Invader Kit, or AIT kit. We will see, i reenlist in october so ill decide then, once i have my money lol.

 

If i didn't have a BCM i would go flat black. ITs great looking if done right.

 

Flat black would be very cool but you will need an aggressive kit to go along with it.

I think I might go with the invader kit shown here, and the flat black paint job. Keep my badges VR and the Rotor shape on the hood VR, lugnuts VR.
