You can get matte vinyl wrap here:

http://www.stickercity.com/51-x-line...nyl-sheet.html

They have black and white, for only $20 bucks a linear foot, I'm tempted to do it! Matte White that is.

Though Easy has taken time to spell out one technique for you Ive tried that with mixed results(some good, some bad)and over time, if you continue to wax and wash the paint the surface will suffer, if you use satin paint you need a hardening agent to determine the percentage of Satin that you desire, but since your(Noobie) not taking the time to research this yourself, thats why you are getting flammed,,,
Before you call BS on everyone just thin to yourself, "hey Im not so unique, if I thought of it someone else must have thought it too,,," "and maybe they know more about this subject then I do,,, " Dude,,,
There is where your logic is ascew,,,
Go and do some research , get some test pieces, try different techniques let those pieces sit out in the weather for six months and then see if you want to do this,,,
There are over a dozen threads that have covered this topic before and thats just on this forum,,,

Nah,,, its just like anything else those that refuse to take the initiative to do the research themselves fall flat on thier face time and time again, no matter wether its paint, performance mods, anything,,,
Not to say that Noobie wont do it, but to do it right will take experimenting, patience, time and probably some decent amount of money...

And judging by his poor choice in the quality of kit that hes going for my guess is that hes goin for the instant cheap result,,,

I will appluad though, if proven otherwise,,,

Amazing how many people laugh when I post that in all the threads. Essentially after spending 1, 5, 10+ thousand dollars to make it "your car" you have devalued it an equal amount since no one wants "you car". Then comes the inevitable quote, "I'll never get rid of it".

When people pay for full wraps I can not imagine they do the all the jams and under the hood and trunk. Which would look like crap especially on the 8 because so much is exposed when opened up.

You can wrap door jams and such with the vinyl, it is very stretchy, it would just take more material and obviously more time...if you want a clean job it's worth it IMO instead of half-assing it.

I've seen a few show cars with full vinyl wraps that has the door jams, door sills, and even under the hood wrapped...but they were show cars and probably not your average wrap.

Hm, the wrap doesn's seem like such a bad idea, I'll have to find somewhere local that can wrap it tho, are there ever any problems with bubbles or anyhting of that sort?

Also, does anyone have any idea about how much of this vinyl crap ill need? I dont understand the "58" x Linear Foot" on the website chickenwafer supplied.

ALSO, lol if i want to do an eyebrow with the vinyl too, is that possible? Will it stick to glass?

It will stick to anything...

If you have a shop do it you won't get any bubbles, plus it's a breathable material otherwise your paint underneath would rot and promote rust...

The linear foot means you add how many feet you need and it makes a solid sheet, instead of multiple sheets, that way you have no seams...

I understand that part, but does the 58" X Linear foot mean that its always gonna be 58" wide? How much do you think i would need to completely cover the car? I have plenty of time to figure it out, I wont be able to get the kit until October, thus, no need for the vinyl. lol.

Why in the world would you do an opaque eyebrow? They're done with window tint so you can still see out of them.

Alright thanks for the criticism and not-help, thats obviously what i was requesting.

If i go flat black i want everything to match, so having flat black all over the car then glossy black tint for the eyebrow would look silly.

Its right there on Chickenwafers sig: To Not Take A Risk, Is The Biggest Risk Of All

You do know eyebrow refers to a strip of tint on the top of the windshield right? If you're talking about EYELIDS than by all means do them in vinyl...

If you want everything to match then ditch the idea of VR badges and the other VR accents you were considering.

Hm, apparently i will get nothing but flames and dis's on any unique ideas i might have. I already have CF eyelids, I know what the **** an eyebrow is and Im telling you it would look completely retarded to do the car in flat black then have shiny black on the windshield.

This thread is over, ill show you how it looks when im done, until then have fun having the same exact car as everyone els minus the rims.
