Fog light glass cloudy
well, as the title says, my fog light glass is cloudy. It looked fine but then my driver's side fog light burnt out and it somehow burnt the glass or something. I have an image attached of the fog light (on during the day). I'm not sure if this is something that can just be cleaned or if I should ask the dealer to replace it or what? Side note: I did just replace the lights with Hoens, so if there's any issue there, let me know. Thanks in advance!

I've taken my fogs out and cleaned them. It's pretty easy. The metal and glass housing is held into the plastic shroud with two screws, one on the bottom side (which is adjustable for aiming) and then one on the side nearest the air dam opening. I can remove mine without jacking the car up or removing the front bumper or anything (just remove the three screws at the leading edge of the undertray to get to the bottom screw, and to pull the housing out through, the side screw can be accessed through the air dam opening). It may be kind of difficult to clean the inside glass because of the reflector cap that is inside the housing. I removed the reflector caps in mine, so that's an option too (and you'll get a bit more usable light).

By the way, here's what mine looked like after removing the reflector cap and cleaning.
Euro and Japanese spec cars don't have that cap, so I figured it couldn't hurt to remove. It's a little like removing the reflector in the clear corners, you simply move it up and down with your finger until the metal stalk it is on breaks. The cap is slightly bigger than the opening, so you have to give it a squeeze with a needle-nose and then pull it out. Looks much better IMO and you get a little more usable light (although still not enough to drive in fog with just them on, which a true foglight should be able to do).
