front license plate
so someone backed into the front of my car scrapping off the license plate and made the bottom of bumper where the rotary accent is bend down, unfortunately its illegal in texas to not have a front license plate displayed and i cant seem to find a frame bracket now, i thought i saw a license plate relocation kit that moved it down near the oil cooler but cant find that now either. any suggestions to replace it?

Autozone sells a universal license plate bracket that happens to fit perfectly on our car. It costs about $10. You don't have to drill any holes or anything; all you have to do is remove two of the bolts that hold in the bumper, slide this over the holes, and put the bolts back in. I would definitely buy some foam tape, though, and line the top edge of your plate with it so it doesn't scratch the bumper.
Here's my car with the Autozone bracket on:

sounds perfect to me ill be stopping there to pick one up, i like it in the bottom corner more than dead center in the grill, seems it blocked some air intake there now i just have to find some touch up paint for the bumper =\

I'm pretty sure there was a court case that stated it had to be on the front bumper and not the dash. I've always thought cops used this more as something to add onto your ticket and not a reason to pull you over (unless they are just an ******* of course).

You could get one of these:

Actually, I got the non-motorized one for about $50.

I ran no plate for a really long time. I gotten pulled over but I had good reasons why I never had it on. My car got vandalized and backed into so I just told them that (It really did, but I already had my plate off). If you like it off just have that plate in your car and if they pull you over...tell them you got backed into and they wouldn't do anything more generally.
I never liked running the plate on the dash/in the car. In case of an accident that thing would be like a flying blade
Plus the plates on the dash draw more attention in my opinion.

ok maybe im just retarded but i can only see one bolt in the bottom corner of bumper area that i could attach the bracket to, theres some screws in the plastic skid piece but they are recessed and not long enough to attach the bracket, then theres 1 bolt to the right of that piece and another hole for one but nothing in it on either side of the car

If you want I can tell you which bolts I used specifically; I could even take a picture for you. I'll try to get around to it tomorrow.

I didn't know steel wheels were available for the car.
He's from SoCal. Snow is something that exists in far off mountains that you never quite get to.
I'm surprised that you can run your plate that low in the winter. I would be afraid that it would be torn off.

Front plate? What is that? I have been pulled over many, many times and always get a warning for the plate. But if you get pulled over and mouth off or are doing something stupid you can probably count on getting a ticket.
