Front mask problem
I would like to get some feedback to see if anyone else has noticed the same problem... About a year or two ago I had my car all shined up nicer than usual. I was looking at it and with the right angle of sun and reflection I noticed a small bulge to the drivers side of the Mazda emblem at the top of the mask. It is barely noticeable, but enough that it really bugs me since I know it is there. When I wax the car I can feel a hard spot right there. It feels and looks like someone is pushing outward from the back of the fiber glass with their finger. There is some kind of brace behind there that has shifted because I can feel it on the other side in the same spot, but it is down about 3/16" before the fiber glass touches. The Mazda dealer tried to tell me that I hit something, which I did not, and noone backed into me or there would be a scratch or paint crack or something.

it sounds like you're talking about your actual bumper, correct?
make an appointment to have a paintless dent repair guy take a look at it. if it's small, he can probably pop it right back into place for $100. i had a few small "bumps" on my hood fixed this way and it was well worth the $ spent.

I don't think a dent repair guy can do anything, this is right on the actual thin fiberglass front mask. It is only a small bulge, only protruding enough to make the reflection look bulged, like a mirror in a fun house at a really small scale. The area is only about an inch in diameter.

do you have the stock bumper?
if so, it's not fiberglass...it's urethane
to find out what it is for sure, remove the front bumper and take a look...it's ridiculously easy to do.
