Fuel door options
I am holding in my hand the polished fuel door made by SRmotorsports, machined from billet aluminum.
It's a nice piece of hardware, solid, heavy, although the degree of polish could be a tad higher, IMO.
Here's the reason for my post.
I have several options:
1. I can add a bit more polish to it, clear-coat it to keep it from oxidizing, and stick it on the car.
2. I can leave my stock fuel door on there.
3. I can paint the billet door to match the car color. I can't say that I've seen a machined fuel door paint-matched before and it might look neat. I could even paint the central portion and leave the outer ring, with the dimples, polished metal. A 2-tone fuel door.
I do like shiny bling since the car is SS and I have several plated or buffed metal accessories on there already, including the factory emblems and lettering. To my eye, it works aesthetically.
Opinions?

hmmm... I'm not for leaving the fuel door completely billett aluminum, but you come up some interesting options. The only 8 I would put any billett aluminum would be an SS.
I'd leave it either stock, or I would go for option 3 painting the center portion.
