GI: Plug&Play Angel Eyes kit.

Who and how many of you are interested in a quality plug and play angel eyes kit for the RX8?

Just to clarify here right off the bat, I DO NOT WORK FOR ANY COMPANIES AND I AM IN NO WAYS AFFILIATED WITH ANY COMPANIES! I was reading some auto magazines from Taiwan and have repeatedly seen this advertisement from this company for their angel eyes kit and they seemed like very good quality kits to me. So i went ahead and did some research and yes of course...they did not have a kit for the RX8... arg.... So being the curious george i am, i emailed their marketing rep and has had several conversations with them about doing a kit for our beloved RX8s! And to my surprise, being a normal individual i am and not being part of a company or anything, they are really nice about it and is now pursuing the opportunity of producing angel eye kits for RX8s depending on the level of interest present.

So here i am, here to see who would be seriously interested in getting a quality kit(not those cheap APC etc ones) for around $135(rough guess)? These are not the cheap angel eyes kit you see out there made with LEDs.... These are CCFL Angel eye kits which uses cold cathode tubes which can even be seen in DAYLIGHT! If theres enough interest and it could be a go then great, if not then no biggy, im just trying to do something about getting more new products for our 8s

(Picture of actual product on a Ford Focus's headlight)

(Picture borrowed off EBAY to show Cold Cathode tube Angel Eyes in DAYLIGHT!)

So if you think you are seriously interested and would be thinking of getting something like this... lets make a list and just see how much interest there are

(Just copy and paste as you go)

HEY BigO! Long time no talk. Anyways, i would be interested as well, as long as they are good quality and look stock on the 8. I've been a big fan of angel eyes so i'm highly interested. As long as it looks like its made for the car, looks stock, i'm happy, count me in.

Forgot to add, my one concern would be...would it look kind of off because of the grey holder for the headlight? I know that sounds wierd but yeah, i'm curious of how it would be with the angel eyes light off and seeing it on that grey circular area containing the lowbeams.

Has anyone even been sucessful in baking the headlights (You're gonna have to open the casing to get the CCFLs in there)? I know no one has been able to get the tails open without melting them.

I'm interested, but I'm just curious what we would be looking at from an install standpoint. Is this going to be a quick DIY mod (a true plug/play) or something that might require a professional. Ultimately where I'm getting at is that I don't want to pay any more than $200 for a mod like this.

Actually, I just took a quick look at the site where the have the install instructions for the Mazda 3. Install doesn't seem to difficult but it does look like there are areas where if not done right you might have to start looking for a new headlight...I'm in though..

try getting a pic of the lights when they are not light up... i've seen some kits that look fine when they are turned on, but look rather crappy when turned off and you see a rather homemade thing attached to a light

Here are some pics from the Mazda 6 application.

From being a 6club member and watching the halos be developed for the 6... The halos are VERY fragile, and A LOT of people broke them during installation or they were broken during shipment. So often that the kit was supplied with extras.

For 6 halos, 2 ballasts, and a harness... they were available for $130 shipped.

So that's probably the same price for the RX-8, I'm guessing.

I know I would want them but wifey wouldn't let me let go of $150 that easy. So count me as interested, but don't put me on the list as I can't front the money for a good while.
