Good idea?.......

Just wondering if getting a rear spoiler after market is a good idea or not? It seems like most of you have a 8 with no spoiler at all. If any of you have one with a factory spoiler or after market please show me a pick. It will make my decision easier if I can see what you guys have. Cheers!

non- Spoiler from factory. I opted out of it.. The stock one looks good only on a few colors.. I like the look with out it.

Mine came with the factory spoiler...
After seeing some of the after-market spoilers,
I wished I'd bought an 8 without the OEM spoiler.

What does OEM stand for?

Does this look good to anyone?

Alot of 8 owners prefer their cars without the spoiler due to the simple beauty the car already has. I opted for the factory spoiler, and I like it. I wil soon be getting the MAZDASPEED spoiler because it isnt as outlandish as some of the aftermarket spoilers, but still appears very aggressive. (And expensive) There are some aftermarket spoilers that would also be nice (choose these with taste, and ask opinions before you purchase). In the end, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. She is a sexy girl with nothing at all on. If you choose to dress her, do it tastefully.

Here, you can see the difference between the two. I own the Sunlight Silver and I have the Appearance Package and Spoiler. I actually like the factory spoiler and will stick with it.

I added an OEM spoiler after the fact...

very happy with the look.... and you know... it is faster now :D

Reminds me of when I got new sneakers as a kid ... I *seemed* to always run faster when I got them

you can't go wrong either way...

Personally I prefer the MS one... although my 8 has the OEM spoiler on now. What looks best is a question about individuality and what one like. I prefer the simple clean look, but at the same time I think that can be achived with the MS wing as well... that´s why I´m getting one.

same here...as for the MS spoiler...there is a weird disconnect between it and the car...otherwise in theory it is sweet...really I like the new American version of the MS spoiler...only prototype right now

sorry for the bad pic

Bought one at spoilerfactory.com. They offer several styles... Service was great. Paint job superb...so was the packaging...1/2 the cost of a spoiler from Mazda. Super easy to install with templates...4 screws...took about 20 minutes.

The MazdaSpeed spoiler is still THE one to go for. Outrageously expensive but looks the biz.

I just picked up my 2005 red '8 and i chose to get the factory wing on the back for two reasons. The first was that i think it finishes off the car and the second was that if i want to put the MAZDASPEED wing, the holes are gonna be there and i dont have to worrie about drilling the holes myself. Good Luck
