GT factory lambo doors

Ok im buying lambo doors soon there is no talking me out of it thats a sure thing. but i need info from ppl who know a bit about them, Are GT factory doors considered good quality i dont want to get stuck with the cheap **** that brake fast. I honestly dont mind spending a bit more for quality items. Alright so here i go..

Question #1: Are GT factory Diablo doors any good. If not what brand would be a better choice?

Question #2: Bolt on or Weld on. im scared that bold on aint as strong but to be honest i dont know much about these doors. FYI i dont plan on ever potting normal doors back on.

Question #3: I called them up and asked if i should get the stock 150lb shocks or the 250lb shocks he said stick with the 150lb. is that a good idea?

Question #4: Im getting the doors installed and then getting a full body paint job. Considering they need to take the doors off for the paint job will that **** up all the adjustment that make the doors close well? will i need to get it reajusted?

Ok flame me if you like but i did do some searching on the forums and thats where i came up with the GT factory doors name. So im Hoping ill get goood info from the RX8 community and not only flaming replys.

Get it, install it, post it...then good luck.

Anyway, my answers to your questions would be "none of the above", lol

1) Yes
2) Weld-on
3) 250 lb
4) They don't take your doors off to paint the car.

1 2 and 4. agree...

3... i would stick with 150's. Our doors are super lightweight. 150s if you won't have your girlfriend(or mom) opening the doors.... 250s if you don't want her to be able to close them. although i'm unsure of who supplies the lift shocks for this vender. there used to be a guy that did "donk" work... most of the time he used 200-275's on caddys/ MBs, bmws, and well old "donk cars" fullsize-chevy/olds/buick. i've also seen him mount two 150s on each side.

RX-8 doors are actually very heavy - close to 100 pounds per door.
Unless you live in a continuously hot environment, 150s will be floppy.

Also, the older kits had double shocks that were longer, commercially available units. I have that system and I use two 100s.
