UT H11 Won't Fit :(

I recently purchased 2 V-LEDS HID WHITE 68 M-SMT DRL/FOG LIGHT BULBS H11 6K from VLEDS.com (http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/D...10634-1-2.html) and they will not fit in my Foglight housing. Some posts suggest breaking off the aluminun piece inside the housing itself. I just want to know if this has worked for anybody and if it WILL solve my problem before i go breaking my bran new foglights. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, H11 is just the bulb base, and as you found, the LED array is huge.

Taking the metal shade out will work, but you'll never be able to use a halogen (or HID) bulb in there later.

The shade prevents light shining up at traffic, but no-one will notice with LEDs, they're not that bright head-on, as most of the light comes out of the bulb's periphery.

I have these. They fit. Might want to try again.

I admit, they're snug, but they fit.

I have these too. The first time I had installed them, they were hard to get in. But I just pushed hard and twisted them in. After about 3 days I had to take them out because one of them stoped working. When I got the new one, I ended up taking the aluminun part out and they ending up fiting alot better. Taking the piece out took about 30-45min. It was hard because I didnt have the right tools. It also looks better when you have them removed.
