If you had polished aluminum wheels and strakes it might look more like it belongs.
i agree, its definately very unique, and i actually like it even though i wouldnt do it on my galaxy grey. but it would look really awesome if you could get all the metal and accents on the car to match really well with it!

You better coat it with something before it oxidizes.

If you polish the bulge on the hood or just the outer groove of the bulge, I think would be more coherent with your theme

aluminum doesnt rust. the oxidation that forms on aluminum doesnt actually cause any deterioration like with steel.

Interesting. I'd like to see this on a Sunlight Silver car.

Paint it! Or put on 22" spinners to complete the look.

If you could do the middle part of the front bumper, the middle part of the roof, and the top of the trunk (switch to a lip spoiler and leave it blue to cover the transition line) I think it would look friggin awesome.

And +1 for the candy blue clear coat.

If you could repaint it so the blue fades into the silver it might look better.

Also, if our cars sheet metal was all aluminum, which I believe it isn't, you could do the whole car. But I would personally prefer a flatter more grained Delorean like look.

But my personal preference is away from changes that don't match the rest of the car. I don't like CF hoods that don't blend into the rest of the car.

But to each his own.

I had a friend do this a few years ago to his NSX. People stopped him everywhere he went to find out where he bought it. When they found out he buffed it, they thought he was crazy! Nobody wanted to mess up their hood to do that. I gotta say, on an 8 it looks weird. but cool
