tinted lights
I work in a body shop in San Francisco I have painted lenses on my last three cars and they always hold out. If you find a shop that sprays PPG it will work for sure. Scuff the lenses with gray scotch brite then spray a mist coat of SU 4903 it allows paint to bond to plastic. I use DBC 500 and the color you want your lense to be tinted mixed a little less than ten percent. Metallics do not lay even and if you use more than ten percent paint to DBC 500 it will not be even. Spray two or three coats depending on how dark you want the tint. Then spray them with clear. Take your time or the paint will lift. I use 2042 clear and have had no problems. Being in cali i have not been stopped for smoked lenses because you can still clearly see the relfectors.
