hey guys. i have an 04 rx8. my headlight lens' are looking kind of burnt. the dealership says its on the outside. but i think its from the high temps of the lights. have any of you guys had this problem?

 

the projector lens or the headlight lens cover? got a pic?

 

i cant see it in the pictures i took. its the lens cover. the outter most lens.

 

the glass or the plastic?

i take it the plastic is burnt because glass just melts


have you had your dealer take a look at it? im sure that if its still under warranty, they could replace it for you

 

I have the same thing on my passenger side headlight. I'm having it replaced under warranty. They took one look at it and they said schedule an appointment. The part is on order and they will call me when it's ready. Install should take an hour.

 

yea we gotta see a pic...i ve never heard of that...only yellowing...maybe thats what he meant? the yellowing of the lens cover.

 

yellowing...maybe. im a little color blind. but i had the dealer look at it and they said its on the outside of the lens. they told me to polish it with a plastic polish. which kinda made me mad.

 

Why don't you try that before getting upset at them?
