Ugh... these posts are like deja vu. Someone asks about installing <X part>, dozens of people say, "No, bad idea"... individual installs part anyway.... individual posts pictures... the same people who said it would be a bad idea before the install bury the thread with negative comments.... individual gets mad, calls everyone "haters", takes his ball and goes home.

I'll go with the rims. BTW, wheels do not raise the value of your car. If anything, it lowers the value. My .03 cents.

Nothing "raises" the value of your car unless you sell it to another private party. If you trade your car with a ton of modifications, the dealership will give you a big "0" for them.

But you could always resell the rims before you sell the car.

Go wheels..

Lambo doors, should stick to Lambos... :P

Or go Gull Wing doors, Back to the Future style! True ricer for reals...

best to get bolt on kit. that way the holes are already drilled out and you will know thats made for rx8.
its very difficult to drill holes for the universal fit type kit

I agree
universal anything is tough for a car

it is hard enough making aftermarket stuff that is suppose to be for your car fit

like i've said before...if you want lambo doors, save your money and buy a friggin' lambo...sure it's your car...but it's also the same make as mine...so I take offense to those that apply stupid mods such as "lambo doors", especially when Mazda did a super cool thing by incorporating the suicide doors to add to the COOL factor of the 8...you're defiling the car by adding junk like that and taking one of the cool engineering aspects of the car and turning it into something it's not...it's kinda ricey..if you stick to the definition..

all in all...it's your car man..but since you asked for opinions..i gave mine...i think lambo doors are dumb...you've ruined i think the coolest affordable sports car...wheels would have been such a better choice...

if you do lambo doors you need to do the back doors aswell. That would make it worth it IMO. but good luck because that sounds like alot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Go with the rims.... If the Vertical doors don't seal right you will have road noise leaking in, and you will have an alignment problem eventually.

Its German but its the best mechanism for lambo doors out there...And you won't need to crawl or bend like rubber to get inside-outside...Just send them an email to ask them if they are going to work with an rx8........Simple

I would think that lambo doors would work pretty good for tight parking cituations, Ive found that the 8's doors are pretty long and if you have passengers in the back opening them up in close quarters is a pain, if your worried about them gettin dinged like me

You need to stop hating so much. You don't CRAWL into your car with them, they DO open. (i do see anyone crawling into a lamborghini) That style of doors aren't just for lamborghinis. People just call them "lambo doors" because those are the only cars they have seen with them.

Personally, i think the're unique and definately will make people take a second look when your getting out or in of your car. I say lambo doors

Outside of a show car, I think lambo doors just kind of look cheap. It's like a really expensive and well done flame paint job. No matter how nice it is, it still has a cheap feel. It was kind of mentioned before, but the doors will have a more permanent effect. The wheels would be easy to pull off and get your money back on.
