Hey pilot.....

Buy which ever wing you want. You cut the check every month for the car, you buy whatever wing you like. However, IMO buy an expensive wing, not a cheap wing. It's a $30k car, buy a nice, pro, slick looking wing!! As Ajax said, check out the Mazdaspeed wing. It's about $800+ but it's worth it!!

Good luck.

appreciate all your help... anyone know of any decent car shops that mount/sell wings etc in either The Woodlands or Houston??? I don't mind the advice, kinda know what I want, just new at the 8 game, and by the way I am 33... so yes I am too going through a midlife crisis... but Fast & The Furious style...

Just going off of what he was looking for, the MS wing doesn't come close to the style he described.. he's definately going for edgier than anything MS is putting out.. and the MS wing is expensive because it says "Mazdaspeed" on it, not necessarily because it's a higher quality than any of the others.

I don't mind the GT wing as long as you have the rest of the bodykit.

I look bad *** if you only have the wing but nothing else.

To the other extreme, seen this "civic" wing?

so you think the first one is ok??? its black fiberglass, and 54" as fas as I know glossy, and has adjustable mounts up to 10" but I would probably have it around 7.5 or so I guess... or should I lay out the funds for a carbon instead but it will be 57"

OK, I guess if I had to go over the top, I would go the Veilside route.

OK, I quit... you want a "Fast and Furious" appearance (as you put it), so you purchase a $30k+ car and decide to snap on cheap imitation parts on it. I'm not a big fan of the movie, but that's not what they did. Forget checking this board, for what you are looking for check out this site http://www.riceboypage.com/index.html

I agree w/notears.. if you're looking for something that's $300, painted and installed, it's going to flop around like man ***** on a trampoline on the freeway and take away from whatever look you're doing

Don't mod until you can afford to do it right

You're killing me... here is a link for the setup you are looking at now http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/rx_8/parts_list.html ... you said you cant afford Veilside, well do a conversion on the price of the one you're looking at now ($1.2k - $1.5k depending on wether you want Carbon fiber or not)

Any bodyshop worth their salt can install a spoiler, just a matter of drilling holes into your trunk. You might want to check out any local auto supply shops (Alamo auto supply etc...) and see what they have, they would likely install it as well.

Here's a list of all the rear spoilers available at VividRacing... not all neccesarily built for the 8, but doesn't really matter for what you're looking for.
