GT wings are freakin' awesome. I don't know what you could get for cheap, other than the ol' eBay method. The wings manufactured by C-West, Veilside et al cost an arm and a leg. The best ones IMO are C-West's or if you want something from here, APR.

As for a dealer or whatnot that'll install it, I talked to a service rep at a dealer (PM me) about installing an MS wing, and he wanted about 160$ for it. All he needed was the spoiler.

I call those shopping cart wings because it looks like you could push them around like a shopping cart! :D

I have one on ebay for sale for a friend:

Adjustable Carbon fiber double deck spoiler

This one isn't as tall though!

Here's a look at the Carbon Fiber MS Style carbon wing from Rotary Extreme.

Please, please PLEASE don't go with the ironing board!

You gotta trim up the bottom piece a bit but didn't realize it till I drilled. I just haven't gotten around to it. It'll get there (someday).

I don't think it looks too shabby without it, but it would be a nice finishing touch

I'm not a fan of wings in general, but IMHO stay with the understated ones. Those big GT ones make the 8 look like a kiddie car, and it deserves so much more than that!

Ignore all the negatives, if its what floats your boat then go for it. I don't think many people on her have done the same, so as someone said above you probably won't get much constructive help. But I for one think YOUR 8 deserves whatever YOU think looks good.

Individuality is worth its weight in gold, I know lots of people here don't like my rims for example, but me and my wife do and thats all that matters.

Merry Christmas one and all

i would either get the euro (british) style "wing" or just use the stock GT wing that comes with them. personally i hate the wings and i wish i didnt have one on my car. i plan on getting a mazdaspeed wing because the look of it goes with the car.

more into the sleeper look myself, but I did like the look of the rotora car's wing, maybe it was MS, or extreme dimensions (?), but it looked cool. If you haven't found a shop yet, try the boards over at www.streetsource.com , it's a mini-truckin'/import car site and it has tons of Tx members on there who can probably hook you up

personally, IF i were to get a gt style wing, i would get a low profile one, like 2 -4 inches off the trunk

im a firm believer in less is more, especially with an actual sports car. The RX-8 is a higher class car, so i believe the mods should be the same.

Please don't install that cheap *** R1 wing. R-1 makes cheap *** ghetto wings.

I have one of those on my Riced out golf cart.

I know you all hate it, but after hours of not being able to find a veilside, or Re-Ameniya Gt wing for my car, I am just about to go with the APR I posted earlier... at $500 is not a bad deal, and it's the type I am looking for... I just hope their quality is up to par... I have included a few more pics...
