Help with Vertex Kit

I've been thinking about getting this kit for a while and was wondering:
1) What the best place to get it from? Cheapest I've seen is $2100 at www.rx8store.net
2) Is it a good fit? I mean, was it a pain in the butt to get it to fit on?
3) Did you have to take the bumper reinforcement off to get it to fit?
4) Best place for fog lights on the front bumper. I saw xsinx 8 fog lights. What kind are those anyway? Looks good.

My 8 is black. And I'm going with an MS wing with the kit. Should be nice but my project is going to be a winter job most definitely. :D

1) That's about right... you're not going to expect to buy the kit at a dirt cheap price... 2100 or so is good. Unless you know someone that in the industry, you're not going to get it at a lower price.

2) It looked good in person. I've seen it already. But like all kits, it depends on the skill of the body shop to install the kit. As with most aftermarket kits, you will need the bodyshop to fit this for you... unless you know how.

3) Don't know.. perhaps someone with the kit can chime in. But it looks like you have to take it off since it's slanted downwards, no room.

Find the pic of the Vertex Lang kit on FE3P's car... his is a complete Black Vertex Lang kit.

hmm so the vertex kit is around 2100 for front, back, and sides. Any idea how much the complete autobahn kit is?

About the same price. But for the Autobahn rear, you'll need to use their Quad Exhaust or it'll look funny with single tip dual exhausts. Part of the reason I didn't buy the rear AB kit.. just the front and side.

2) Outlaws is correct that much of the fitment depends on the skill level of the body shop. Even though I went to a good body shop, I feel that the rear bumper could have fit a little better.

3) As far as I know, the stock bumper reinforcement is still used. I'll double check that for you.

Here's a link to some pics of this kit on my car: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-exterior-appearance-body-kits-27/vertex-black-black-black-61587/

If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to PM me.

FE3P, The Dark Knight Returns. >

Added note: Paint/Install is going to be around 500-600+ If you get quoted less, and if they aren't a friend/family member... be weary of how the job will turn out. Lots of terrible paint/install jobs. Do it right the first time, or don't do it at all.

Thanks guys.

Yeah FE3P, your car is the one that bent me towards the Vertex kit (VERY nice) from the R-Magic lip kit. So I guess I'm looking at $2100 + $600. Bout $3000. Wow. This habit is expensive, but man I love it. I will definitely PM you when I get the kit (that may be a while though).

crimson-rain,
I just confirmed with the body shop that both the front and rear bumper reinforcements are still on the car.

The front reinforcement clears because the Vertex front bumper extends out a little further.

Good Luck!
