does anyone know if the BMW Phillips Ballast is compatable with the 8? does the 8 use the same D2s bulb too?

 

what happens if i take out the metal thing inside the projectors? looks like its blocking half of the beam

 

You will get pulled over by the police for having illegal headlights. That's the "beam cutoff" - it's what controls the beam shape and gives it that sharp upper edge that allows you to drive with these lights without blinding the world.

 

so does one know if i can use the same D2S dulb? or do i have to get an H7 conversion

 

no clue. My car's already got the HID's ...
