HID conversion kit

i really dont like my yellow head lights on my car and so i got a HID conversion kit and was looking to install it

well, the problem came when i went to a professional and asked him a quote to get me fixed. and he was trying to work out how to get the kit in there

he finally told me the he has to remove the bumpers and tires to get in there and will take 2-3 hour labour .. is that worth it ? i mean is that the way to do it if anyone has done it ? i believe it should be easier ? help !

I DON'T KNOW FOR SURE HOWEVER...

I will say that that would make sense b/c bepending on which of the bulbs you are going to replace in your headlights you have to jack the car up on one side or take the tire off all together. the placement of the sockets alone require to pull the wheel shroud and in some cases maybe even the entire bumper. so 2-3 hrs for a HID installation of a kit isn't surprising at all.
I say go for it and enjoy the results and let us know how it goes.

well, they do have to install the ballasts somewhere, so they need to get to the underside of the headlight.

I was able to put my HID kit in without taking off the front bumper. The only thing that was taken off was the front wheels and the plastic guard.
