Smile HID headlight questions

Looking into buying some HID's for my 8. I know that I want 6000k. But where is a good place to buy from? I want a good quality headlight that is very bright. Have a friend who bought some HID's and they hardly shine 10 feet. Thanks alot!!

Do you have factory HIDs ? If not then the problem isn't going to be the "quality" of the HID that hinders its focal length, it's the lenses that are equipped in your headlight. If you have Halogen headlights stock in your car, then both the lens and the cutoff sheild is modified to use the different properties of the halogen bulb compared to HID. Good brands are both the DDM brand and the VHIDs brand, I have used both and have nothing but good things to say about them. That being said, if you really want to take advantage of the HID bulbs, you need to make sure that you have a good lens and a nicely designed cutoff shield.

matters more about projectors and ballasts as far as brightness goes
if your just wanting the HIDs for your low beams all you need is bulbs, you can get them from VLED.com
other lights you'll need ballasts for...they offer those as well

If you don't want to buy a different headlight. Get a good conversion kit, modify your cutoff (you can leave it as is if you want), and order this, http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=135
Bake headlights, pop the awesome clear ones in.
Seal it up.
You will be super cool after.

(the above are the products and procedures I am going to do after DGRR)

Yeah, I mean not only does it seem to make a dramatic difference in the visibility on the road but also in my opinion makes the car look cleaner and classier. Gives it that high end sports car/luxury car look.

And stray beams from a halogen cutoff sheild wont blind the heck out of oncoming drivers
