Highbeam HID Conversion Kit Problem???

After receiving a new H9 HID kit, and trying to install it a few times, I figured this was the best place to turn. With everything hooked up (ballasts and lights), they just wont turn on, the car doesn't even acknowledge that they're installed. I didn't know what the problem was so I reinstalled a halogen bulb (thinking I blew a fuse) with the other HID installed, the halogen lit and the HID didn't. Anyone else having this problem? ( o yea, and my damn traction control symbol on the tach wont turn off). Any help would be great, thanks guys.

As far as I know, you're the first to try installing HID high beams (at least here on the forum), so I can't give you an answer to that. The light on your dash is because you disconnected the battery probably. Start the car, turn the wheel all the way both directions, shut the car off and that should get rid of the light.
