Homemade roof spoiler
Hey guys, I was wondering how my car would look with a roof spoiler today so I decided to make one. I used bought a sheet of lexan and cut, sanded, and painted it. It turned out quite decent, soooo I figured I'd show it off to yall! :]

MOAR DOWNFORCEZ FTW!!!
Haha I was helping my buddy make one for his Miata and I've never seen an 8 with one, so I figured "What the hell?". It took all of like an hour to make, minus the painting which took the longest because of waiting in between coats. But it cost like a total of $20 to do, and it doesn't look too shabby IMO!

Haha that's not a half bad idea... I'll have to look into that ;]. They'd be super cheap. Anyone know of a better way to adhere them down other than double sided 3M tape? It seems to be holding up just fine, I can tug on it and it doesn't go anywhere. Just wondering if anyone knows of a better way?
And as for a DIY, there's really nothing to it. You just measure it out, cut out the shape with a rotating cutting tool (Dremel, etc.), sand the edges down to make them all purdy, paint, and stick it on!

just suggestions to take with a grain of salt
maybe make it line up with the black part around the rear window???
maybe add more...edges to it so it flows around the edges like the evo-r
only downside i see with it, is that after looking at it some more it looks very thin, and has no body, almost out of place and looks homemade, giving it some thickness would remedy this.

I appreciate all the input guys, this was pretty much a spare-time prototype because I was curious and I think it looks good. But since there's interest in it, I'll definitely take the time to make a 2.0 version by next week at the latest. I might use the Evo-R lip as a guide, we'll see what happens! In the meantime, keep the feedback coming and here are the rear and side shots that were requested last night!!
Excuse the dirty car and aquarium tail lights, just more things I need to work on :P.
Also, I don't wanna talk prices just yet because I have no idea how much will need to be put into the final product, I can most likely sell the prototypes I make super cheap and the final product will definitely be much cheaper than the Evo-R version.
