Hopefully this spoiler won't look too terrible
So I finally sold my other car today and ordered some additional toys for the Rx8 with the proceeds. I finally ordered the Seibon CF TSII hood I've wanted for a while and decided I would get a spoiler while I was at it. The only problem is, the spoiler I really wanted was a carbon fiber Mazdaspeed spoiler and the only vendor that makes one these days is apparently terrible. I'm going for an unpainted carbon fiber accent look to my Shinka so I decided to toss down the 400-500 bucks on the Seibon AE spoiler. Unfortunately I haven't seen -any- pictures online of what it looks like actually on an Rx8.
Does anybody have a picture with this spoiler on the car? Does it look hideous? Good? One of the only pics I could find at all was the spoiler itself:
I think it looks alright by itself... but hard to say.

I'm not worried about it being a little bit big... because I'm going for a pretty aggressive look I guess. As long as it doesn't look like a giant shopping cart ricemobile I'll be fine. I've seen a few other Rx8s with large wings that looked very nice, just not this specific one. Oh well, shot in the dark, at least its only a few hundred bucks.
Edit: Hmm, here is a Shinka owned by m4f1050 with a spoiler that looks very similar... its painted so its hard to tell. I think it looks amazing though.

I can't tell how long the wing span is, as long as the length isn't more than the car itself, you should be fine.. Also the width of the spoiler itself, it seems to be 2 times the height, so it just makes me think its going to be ridiculously huge.

I don't have pics of my Shinka atm, but here are a few generic Shinka pics... I have clear corners, no front license plate and all Shinka's have the appearance package.
I just think the Shinka without a spoiler looks... unfinished. Its like car car car...hey wait, where did it go? I will have someone hold the spoiler onto it and see what I think before I install it... but I think it will look alright.
As far as body kits, I really like the stock Shinka rear, I don't think I'm going to change that. I haven't seen a body kit that I prefer to the stock rear. The front I definitely want to change, but I'm not sure if I'm going to go for a carbon fiber lip or a kit front. Mazdaspeed is nice enough looking but EVERYONE has one. Also it makes the car seem kind of flat. I like the Vertex Lang front a lot because it stretches the car out a bit.

Hmm, I had heard somewhere all the 2005 Shinka's had the appearance package. Well, mine does either way, so hopefully the hood/spoiler will match up alright. Eventually I'm planning to get carbon fiber side view mirrors and front splitter. We'll see once the hood etc is actually installed, but thats my current idea.

*shrug* Someone had told me once they all had the appearance package, and I quickly linked a car off Google Images so that people could get an idea what the stock car looks like before I went to bed. If that is your definition of "epic fail" then you must have unimaginably low standards.

Here are some pics of the spoiler on my car + the new hood etc...

I am really happy with how it turned out. The spoiler was exactly the look I was going for and actually provides a lot of stabilization at high speed.
