How to install NEONS (undercar) : ZUMNRX8
#77
Its makes a big difference at night and the turn of "exorcist" heads is a win! Lemme know if you need help. I suggest you install the 3/4 rocker switch at the same location I put mine.

^to add: I need to finish this DIY, but i got the most important part down: installing the neons, the switch is nothing. Lemme know if you need additional pics of something. I will take/add more pics tomorrow.

I'm on the stock battery. But I run everything through the ACC fuse. That way I run off the alternator...not drawing right off the battery.
That slot is where the MD/Tape desk goes. There is a DIY for it. Custom Switches.

i got you covered maaz:
I chose LEDs because they operate in most temperatures, Neon's don't under 30 F~ 40F.
I went with LEDGlow's products. I've been very very happy with them. I had them on my previous car.
LED Tubes
All Tools
Switches (Mid install)
btw that ground was TERRIBLE! I just used the ground from the ACC line. It's perfect.
Here is the radio deck insert before I started drilling
Here it is all taped up

well thats up to you. Neons seem to be brighter, but LEDs will last longer.
here is the kit i installed.
I did not use their control box because I wanted a simple on/off switch. But they have video's on youtube of how what their control box can do.

L337FPC- You never showed me how you did the exhaust LED. I still dont have my rear one.!
How long of LED did you go under the footwell inside? Nice rocker switches, it blends with the Radio Deck. When I saw that you didnt have the footwell kit that turns on when open the doors, and instead you have tubes under there, two thoughts came into my mind.
1. Its cheaper and better this way than the footwell kit and just as easy as the underglow neon/leds if not, easier.
2. You can have an on/off switch so even when your driving your footwell and whole interior can be on! I am definetely putting this on the to do list! (neon of course)
P.S.
Its been 30 degree F here (I live near the famous SNOW SUMMIT) and my neons work perfect. I've tried them in the rain also.
When it comes to LED's or NEONS. I seen a TC (scion with LEDS) and I noticed the differences between his and mine (both blue in color)
1. My neons were Richer in color (very deep blue) his looked a litte bit lighter in color but still blue
2. His LED's were a bit more brighter (surrounding the car). What I mean by this is that from the side skirts out my neon glows maybe 1-2 feet. His LEDS glow 2-3 feet.
So as you can see or any other person reading this thread or interested in UNDERGLOWS, there is advantages in both kits. Choose wisely.

lol sorry, next time i have the car in the air i'll snap a quick pic.
And I love those rocker switches, they are really stealthy at night.
Plus I like having the choice of turning eaither set on or off when i please.
