Most people use Bondo. You'll want to sand/paint for sure though.

see if you can swap for a spoilerless trunk.

if not, take it to a shop to bondo and repaint.

buy some putty JB Weld and jam it in the back side of the trunk, smooth it down, let it dry and put a light cover of spot putty or bondo. Strong as hell and easy... make sure to do a good job painting though..thats how my trunk is debadged

Lead it

Do what they used to do in the olden days. Use melted lead or solder to fill the wholes. Must special prep or the paint won't stick.

I don't think lead will stick on an aluminum trunk lid. If you don't want to do the body work to fill the holes, 2 way radio shops sell rubber plugs to fill holes. I saw these once in an Antenna Specialist catalog.

i'm sure someone will do it. throw it in the FS/WTB forum and say you want to swap trunks. just make sure you put the actual color though.

You could Tig weld the holes closed. You put a pc of flat copper under the hole and weld the hole up. The weld wont stick to copper.
Best thing to do is trade trunks. Bondo isn't made to fill holes really... its just to smooth out little dings.

But then again... I have seen a kid build a full front bumper out of bondo....

yea true, the spoiler leaves a mess behind.. my method with the JB weld works perfect on the emblem holes, you cant tell i ever had holes there and it took me about an hour.. i switched spoilers though and its pretty rough under there, almost too rough to do anything yourself unless you have access to good painting equipmenth

if you want it done right take it to a shop, otherwise trade trunks or just live with the spoiler. JB weld will crack eventually, and everything else mentioned will look like ***. The correct way to do it would be to weld the holes shut, sand it down and then put a thin layer of filler over it (too much will crack). A reputable shop can do this, but repainting the trunk is going to be the most expensive part.

If you go the plug route, you may as well just shove corks in the holes. Or you could pop some strakes in there...

New trunk lid is the way I'd do it.
