HUFF's_Vivid_RX8 new resized picks

I had him send me the pics so I could resize them for him and lighten them up so we could see his car better.......he needs some outdoor pics, but I think the car looks sweet, I especially like the autoexe body kit, It looks horrible in white (imo) in all the promo pics on websites, but looks hot on this car, I think he will be sending pics of the turbo for me to resize also later in the day.

IMO just proves that there are too many people with more money than brains. That hood looks horrible. The wheels and hubs/calipers look good though.

Great looking 8!! Very nice. ^^^ I personally like the CF hood, when on the right car. I saw a 3rd gen lastnight in black with a CF hood. It looked great!!

Huff's 8 has all kinds of performance mods. He Auto-X's frequently, atleast last I knew. He hasn't been around much lately. The new hood looks good on your 8 Huff. Congrats and keep us posted on your turbo install

I think that the hood is probably doing its job on venting much of that heat out of the engine bay, Im going to reserve my thoughts on how the hood looks untill I see a pic outdoors. overall the car looks great to me.

I hope you know that Huff has hookups and either A) got the hood for free or B) got it dirt cheap

Seibon TSII is the hood..

I like the hood in person actually. But it has some slight fitment issues, nothing too drastic though.

I would like to see a Varis Carbon hood though... wonder if any vendors in Cali has one for viewing.

Carbon hoods are ok if you use it for a show car, or use it for Auto X... but as a daily joe schmoe car, it's a bit tacky. Imagine pulling up to a nice restraunt with your date, and you have that hood on your car... would make people think "why on earth would you do that?"

As I stated before, but for the sake of argument I'll repeat myself... " IMO " I do not like the hood.

Hopefully he got it for free because it looks silly to me. Maybe because I am 34 and have a wife and kids and don't need to look like I'm driving my high school kids car around town. Since the hood is already lightweight the negligible if any weight savings doesn't make up for the 2 fast 2 furious look.

Do whatever to your car, if you post a pic I'll give my honest opinion without pulling punches. Either way it's your car to do whatever you want to. Hope he enjoys it.

Is that the hood that was on the Ings Rx8 on the cover of Modified Mag a few months ago? The kit and wheels look great. Are those TE 37's?

Everyone's entitled to our opinions. As a mater of fact, I'm 31- no wife and kids, and don't NEED to look like anything. I do like the performance look, don't care about negligible weight savings, and like the benifit of the ventilation. Turbos produce more heat. IMO NO pulling punches.

I have the seibon OEM style hood, i thought my gap was bad, after i saw ur gap on the left side of your car, it was worst than my. do you have any way to fix that side gap, or just gonna leave it. For my car, you can't really see it for few feet away, but if you next to it, you can so tell the gap, that's the thing **** me off. the good thing is the heat probably can get out there

Dman are most of the seibon CF hoods like that.I thought about getting one but now I might just reconsider. I was waiting for rotartextreme to make their type S vented CF hood but they are stalling until they get a decent group buy. They don't want to make it until they have a decent size group buy.The vented CF hood is likt their RX7 without the scoop in the middle.

Again my opinion. I did not say he had anything to prove, just saying that I do not. I don't need a turbo, therefore I don't need a vented hood, he does...whatever. As I said "IMO". It does not add anything to the car aesthetically to me. He did it for functionality I GET IT! However there are others who have added non vented CF hoods and wait for it here...... IN MY OPINION it does nothing for the car since the hood is lightweight aluminum anyway.

I fixed the gap with an air tool and a steel ginding git. I "wallowed" out the wholes abit to the right cuz that the side that had the gap and it needed to shift over just a bit. Did the same for the slots the top bolts fit into. Leave them loose enough to shift it into place with the hood shut. Took about a total of 10 min to do. A Dremel and good bit will do the same, just take longer. Don't be afraid to cut the metal. She'll survive.

I am liking the hood. Who's is it? And does it fit correct or do you still have to "make" it fit?

How was the fitment on your auto Exe front bumper, did you have to make that fit to.
