ok, I'm the dummy - but don't make my mistake.
1. You clean the b-pillar.
2. Carefully align the garnish.
3. Peel and stick it on carefully.
4. APPLY EVEN PRESSURE (at this point DO NOT use your fingers!!!)
The stick on panel is as soft as putty and dents just like putty too.
Press against it with a hard back book or something - I've got one perfect one and one dented looking one.
Anyway, if you use the b-pillar to shut your door - don't get this accessory. I'm going to order the carbon fibre look MS ones right now
BUGGER!!!

Thanks for the picture Kev, it looks like an unobtrusive decal. The picture you posted has a very shiny B-pillar and thus the garnish looks nice over it. However, the b-pillars that come on our cars have a matte finish on it that scratches easily and holds fingerprints well. Seems like we should clear bra the b-pillar prior to applying that garnish. Hope it wears well on your car, at least until you get the carbon fiber ones!

mikeb, the carbon fibre MS b-pillar bits only come with the word "mazdaspeed" on them. I'm hoping they're a little more substantial to the touch. Plus, being textured, they won't show the marks too much. (I'd also get the MS c/f rearview mirror cover).
