Installed Multi-Tint Fog Lights
I have a base RX-8 w/o fog lights, so I bought the Mazda multi-tint fog lights. You have a choice between clear (white), blue and the multi-tint.
Install was easy even though I had to remove the front bumper (no problems with that, it's a piece of cake).
For those wondering about the color:
The color output of the multi-tint is really amber/yellow when they're on and they look kind of blue-ish when off. I can post pix if anyone is interested. I don't have step by step pix, but it's really straightforward to install.
At night, with the stock halogens and the fog lights on at the same time, you get a cool looking yellow glow close in to the car at ground level, with the regular white of the halogens taking over as you look further out. Not sure how well the multi-tints would integrate with the HID's, but they really look sharp with the halogens.
I'm probably not going to do the rewire to control the foglights separately from the headlights - I kind of like it with both on at the same time. They seemed to work well together in the fog and rain in central/ south NJ this morning.
$262 plus shipping from Rosenthal.

I installed the "super white" fog lights I got off Ebay, on Saturday. $60 shipped.
Now all my lights are white/bluish (I've already done the side markers and driving lights)! :D
No more of that yellow crap

I guess because i have the Xenons, the yellow looks really bad. I've never seen what the halogens look like, but I'll take your word for it that they suit the bulbs you just installed.

Here's some pix. I like the look of it. The camera kind of blurs the yellow, but it's a pretty crisp yellow/ amber color.

Yeah, see those match...now all your lights look the same colour.
With the Xenons, they're bright white/bluish and the driving lights, fogs, and side markers have a yellowish hue...bad combination IMO.
Yours looks good. Nice mod!

Seriously.. FML..
Weird, I noticed it shows the fog lens blue on that pic. But wouldn't it be a yellow tint, like that ebay link has it as? Hmm.. If that's the case, it'd look bad on my VR.
