Installing Rear WIng Spoiler

Hello everyone,

I searched the forums and couldn't locate anything about it. I was wondering if this could be done by a owner instead of paying the prices the dealer wants. Has anyone installed the rear wing spoiler? Was it easy or hard?

Any help would be great.

Thanks...

Ok, I searched this forum and not any of the others. I found information on this in another forum. Sorry, next time I will be sure to search all of the forums.

For anyone interested in the EuroSpoiler...

Yoshi was way ahead of the game on this DIY install. Here are the instructions he posted many moons ago:

I installed a CF Mazdaspeed replica. Mount the spoiler on the supports, just like it is going to be on the car. Sit it on the trunk so it is flush and in the right position. Make sure you don't scratch the paint - cover with masking tape all the edges on the spoiler support. Mark on the trunk the location of the holes to dril (4, in my case) using a sharp screwdriver. Close the trunk lid, pray, and drill from the outside. Make sure the drill bit does not go in more than needed ! Remove metal shavings and clean everything. Instal the wing and paint the screws to prevent rust (looks inside but they are actually outside the trunk, where the trunk lid has an indentation).

As always, measure 4 times before drilling... Make sure not to drill all the way - and locate the indentation on the inside of the trunk lid, where the screws will actually sit. Do not have the holes close to the edges of it as you'll have problems getting the screws flush with the flat surface.
