Hello RX-Club Members. My name is James and I am from Fredericksburg, VA, just outside of DC. I have built several show cars that tour with NCCA to events across the US such as Hot Import Nights. In 2003, my personal car was ranked #2 in the USA. Thats just a lil background on me and my hobbies... Now to the stuff about the RX8...

I run a car store on the east coast that works directly with Manufacturers of both aftermarket parts and Car Manufacturers. I have worked with Mercury, Ford, Hyundai and now Mazda. My company Hyundai Tiburon is currently in Los Angeles having some Cosmetic body kits made. On June 25th, I will be driving my 2004 Red RX8 from VA to Los Angeles to pick up my Tiburon. Upon leaving LA, we will be driving the RX8 to San Francisco, CA where the car will embark on a 2 month stay. The stay will give some of the best Carbon Fiber and Fiberglass people I know the chance to create some great looking cosmetic enhancements for the RX8. Once they are created I should have prototype images I can post then the final production pieces should be ready to ship about 6 weeks later.

Has anyone drivin an RX8 3000 miles straight before? Maybe I will be able to see what the good side of the MPG will be on long hauls! If any of you are driving around Interstate 40 and you see a Red RX8 with Maryland Tags, thats us trying to get the car to Cali.

Welcome to the forums. Which car did you place with at HIN? Pehaps we should talk and work something out that can benefit both of our companies as well as RX8Club.com members. Either way, I couldn't recommend anyone better than Paul (Omicron) to work with. Make sure you get with them if you decide to have your own products distributed.

Also... as a car fan myself, can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

Thanks for the comments on the Cougar... best part about the car right now is that I was able to convert the car to RHD in my own garage Guess what I have planned for the RX8

CF candy? How about the side vents everybody has asked for? I'd love some of them more than anything else cosmetic on the car right now.

What side vents? Any photoshops? I could get easily get the item made...

3 more days till I get to test out the MPG on the RX8.... I plan to leave on Friday Night and arrive in Los Angeles by Monday 8AM... We shall see...

Also just a heads up, I have contacted Paul and I will be setting up a Vendor Forum upon my return from Cali.

Except I think those just mount over the grille. I'd like to see the grill gone completely. It's a pain to clean / dry properly. As is the front grille.

Apparently, AeroWerks has something to do with them?
