Just bought a pair of D2C 8000k HID Lights...

Hey all, After searching and searching and reading countless threads about the installation of replacing the oem hid bulbs, I decided to go ahead and do it. I bought a pair of JDM 8000k OEM D2C Bulbs. The D2C bulbs are supposed to work in both D2R and D2S ( Rx8). Well i took apart the car and finally after installing the new bulb, or trying to it just doesnt fit. I put the oem ones back in, in 2min and no problems.

I was wondering if anyone has bought a pair of D2C and got them to work?
I have a 04 RX8 GT w/ every option available.

Cool Fit to be tied......

You have to prove to yourself WHY it doesn't fit.

You need to compare the D2C slots (universal fit) to the stock D2Ss.

(I'm assuming here that you didn't just put them in upside down.)

D2C is supposed to have both the D2R and D2S slots in the circumference, you need to see where the new bulb binds.

I bought them from e0gay but from a good seller, had a couple of buddies buy the bulbs from him but at the time he wasnt offering this D2C bulb, just either d2s or d2r.

Stealth, my bulbs have both the d2r/d2s characteristics as shown in the pictures, but I spent a good hour trying to get them to fit. I put the stock ones back in and it took 30sec to insert the bulb and 45 more to seal it up and test it out.

The problem I kept running into was after inserting the new hid bulb and after closing the two metal guiding brackets that close around the light. The plug that goes on the back of the bulb i could get it to go on but not to turn and lock. Which would give me a flickering type response the bulb would flicker for 1-2sec and shut off.

Lugging.....

That seems to indicate that the problem is the lugs on the back....

Again, you need to compare/measure with the stockers.
