heres a pic of the OEM style CF hood...and same issue with fitment. Fits great from the outside except on that passenger side front. Hard to tell in the photo, and hard to tell from more than 15 feet away. But vary obvious upon closer inspection.

The front set of vents go through to the hood and have that wire mesh...the top set of vents are "false vents"..they do not go through.
that's wierd i wonder why they made teh rear vent's fake?

RX8 HA HA
It's hard to find a perfect fitting CF hood. Unless you were the first batch that came out of the mold then thats a different story. I would say my cf hood (red rx8 pictured above) is about 97% perfect, but with any carbon fiber piece you will have that 1-3% impurity, if that.

Is there a company that makes a similar hood without the smaller vents on the sides? I think those add a little too much to the hood myself and would like to get one like this without the side vents and paint it body-color except for the vents.

Looks great. :D
I got mine from "R magic" through "BullitProof." I don't know about yours but all the vent on mine are fully operational and have rain routing channels to keep rain out of the engine bay. With all the other additions I was very pleased with how the car turned out.
Mine is made of fiberglass rather than carbon fiber.

like dragonrider said. yes R magic has a product same as TSII seibon hood. yet VERY expensive for the fiberglass. if your interested in the TSII seibon hood. it also comes with rain brackets. i'll help you out. i have a connection through seibon directly.

I love the new hood and the fit. Looks like I might have done better with you source. That’s ok.. I learned from the forum where I can get a MS wing copy for a little over $250.00. I make up for it elsewhere. Looks like a few of us are going to have a personal and unique look.
