A quick question for those who've gotten kits, parts painted...

I ran out today to get a quick estimate from the body center I usually deal with. The gentleman said he would get his #1 painter to paint my KS-Auto Burnout Kit (both sides, front lip, and both rear flaps) for a price of $350 off-books. He said the guy could tackle the job this week or weekend. The price included base coat, clear coat, and gloss finish. He didn't mention prepping it, but he saw the kit, held it, and felt it, so I assume he knows it needs primed.

All in all, my question, is this a fair price? I am clueless when it comes to painting pricing b/c I really have no experience with this. If it's too high, how much do you think it should cost? Thanks in advance guys...

 

that's a pretty good price. he should prep the kit none-the-less before he paints it to insure it comes out nice.

 

I figured it was decent after reading through threads where people said they paid $700-$900 for the MS kit (although it is a full kit and larger).

Also, I can't find it through searching through different titles, but are there installation instructions for the KS-Auto kit? I read through PhotoMonkey's thread, but his guidelines are for the ShineAuto replica. I can't read the damn Japanese installation instructions...

 

well, there are a few people on here with the kit, if anything you can ask photomunkey since he also had the original too.
