don't get me wrong, they will look good but if it ends up being a pain to get in and out of your car, I just don't see the value in that.

un lock car .. walk to it .. open the door a few inches .. lean down and lift up ?

Isn't there an aftermarket mechanism that will allow you to just press a button to open the doors. If I'm gonna do this I would want the doors to open at the push of a button.

can't wait to see pics, make sure you take close up pics of the actual hinge that operates the door.

Thanks

I think that the lambo doors will really add to the "what kind of car is that?" factor. Debadge your car and people will think you are driving some new foreign sports car.

I already get the WTF IS THAT reaction when I drive around. Around here, all people drive are BMW's and Corvettes and every now and then there is a Ferarri, Lambo, and Vipers but everyone knows what those look like.

I just joined this thread, how much did this cost you and where did you get it/install it?

yeah so far, the one stormannormin has and aplusperformance.com's JT EVO(thats the brand name) doors seem to be the first 2 on the market specifically for the 8. they are both priced a bit over 1,300 dollars, and i have no idea how much installation would be.

they look quite safe and the JT EVO one says its COMPLETELY REVERSIBLE. this sounds very good

There was a guy who had some made for his SR4 R/T He was at the club meet on Thursday.

They opened up all the way to verticle.
Easy access to get in and out.

It was sweet!

Becareful with which brand lambo door setup you go with, most of them are flimsy and the shocks they provide with the kit can't hold the weight of the door. My buddy is currently running a full billet setup with 750lbs gas shocks to support the doors on his M3, but he has problems when bringing the door down for some reason it goes past the door sill...

Here's a pic:

This is a true lambo door setup though, the hindge was designed off a diablo hindge...

OK Guys, got my doors on. Looks so sweet..Don't worry about the clearance there is lots...WE put them on in a car port. No chance of hitting the roof.. I asked help to post my pics in the other thread so I will post them there lambo doors Us Vendor.....Anybody thinking of getting them remember these are for show. You can't be pushing the door hard to open from the inside or slamming the door shut...Just pretend there is lots of pretty women watching you exit your car and then let the 8 take over.....I might go fill my car 8 times today so I can get in an out of it....So cool
