Lambo Doors
I think the first thing i wanna do to my caris get the lambo doors! Who and what brand do you recommend? Are they hard to install yourself? I own a mechanics garage so i have all tools at my fingertips!

Installing it yourself (unless you've done extensive bodywork before - including fabrication and welding) is not suggested.
GT Factory makes the most stable system. That is what I have.
Expect to pay about $1100 for the system and another $1k for the install.

There is no "bolt-on" kit for the RX-8. It isn't possible because the fender clearance is too low.
It requires cutting the sub frame to recess the hinge box so that the swingarm doesn't contact the outer line of the fender.

Mine is the second link. I haven't had any problems with the doors, I have had to adjust one door once, which was kind of a pain. In the pictures you can see that the doors don't go a full 90 degrees. I would recomend getting a kit that does go the full 90 for entry and exit. But you will get used to whatever.

I would get this done if they had actuators fitted in the joint, so I could use my key fob to open my doors automatically. That woudl be so amazing. Not only would it be functional, but mucho bling :-D

was the shitty bolt on kit GT factory???
Is the autoLoc kit, a kit for just keyless entry? or would it allow me to have to door lift up when the button is pressed?

The AutoLoc stuff is linear actuators and poppers. It will open and lift the door and pull it back down again.

I Searched AutoLoc on google but didnt find much. Do you have a vendor for a kit like this?
I just to see pricing etc.
And when you say not bolt on, how many hours of work did it take you to install them?

It took me about 12 to 14 hours, but I have a lot of experience with this sort of thing. A pro shop with two or thee techs would probably be able to do it in about 8 hours. The average enthusiast would only be able to ruin their car in that span at best.
The AutoLoc stuff isn't a kit. You would buy two poppers, two actuator, the controler and the harness then install it all yourself. The actuators would replace one of the two support struts per door that are included in the GT-Factory system.

I owned an LP 5000S for a while in the middle of the 90's. Got tired of it overheating every time I came to a stop.
I don't need to justify anything. Are you trying to justify anything?
