I came up with about 356.56 and 560 or 70ish for cf. but that is not shipped which I think will add 2-3 hundred.

Hm... you can probably check with JT Imports or Japanparts.com and have them look into it. Otherwise, I don't know of anyone who carries LEG parts.

As you have better auto industry connections than I do... can you see if they really intend to sell an exhaust system for 30-40man. I understand it's handmade (at least the test unit was), but that's just crazy...

I'll ask, but when you think about it, a variable valved exhaust for 3-4k USD is reasonable, no one else has it. If you are selling a product that is widely available on the market I would say it is an outrageous price.

It's just like how we carry the ferrari vv exhaust for 6k.

The only variable valve on it is a pair of actuators that close off two outlets on the muffler. Check the pics in the thread "A challenge to cat-back exhaust makers" in the "Mazdaspeed/Aftermarket Performance" section. It isn't complicated in the least... Do the actuators themslves cost that much??

It's possible that a small profit on tops of costs is why all JDM cat-backs cost about 10-12man. But knowing Japan... I doubt it.

Yeah I have seen that magazine as well.

You are right.. it isn't too complicated, but who else can provide one for this application?

The demand and volume of sales is also a lot lower than your normal higher volume 6-8man en apex, hks, trust so the profit margin is set higher, which also backfires to why the volume is low.

example:
Just like how the Hammann Ferrari exhaust retails for 4k but the material and quality is about the same as any typical 1k mr2 exhaust.

Japan8, Do you think with that front lip and the car lowered that it will rub and hit every speed bump? I am just wondering if you know because of all the cars over their seem to have bodykits and are lowered extensively. My car is lowered quite a bit and I have not experienced any bottoming out but I have nothing on the front at the moment but those lips seem to bring out the nose about 4 inches more. Thanks

Well. Quite a few vans, sedans, sports cars, etc. are lowered and have bodykits on them here. Outside out the mountains and country roads, asphalt quality is pretty good in Japan. No speed bumps as I can think of in the country either. On the other hand driveways and other inclines could pose a problem... and I've seen a couple rub. Parking block are huge here... one of the reasons everyone backs in (that and otherwise it'd be impossible to get out). So it's really hard to say.

Looking at the pics of the kits... it appears to me that it's not significantly lower than the appearance package lip (meaning it probably is lower... but not by much). So figure at the worst you're looking at MS kit front clearance, and best would be appearance package... like I said... likely it falls inbetween. I hope that helps some.

Did you make your order yet? If you are really hot for this lip, then by all means order it. If not... I just picked up an issue of RX-8 Sports Magazine. Once I finish reading it all, I'll probably post some pics and info on kits, mufflers, suspension, and a few other things that they review in this issue...

Yes I emailed him about one other lip to see if he can get the R-magic lip and has not responded but I know everyone their is on a LOONNNGG Holiday! Must be nice the most we ever get is a long weekend off. But once he responds yes or no on the R-magic I will probably order. I want the appearance package sides though and not sure about the rear because I really do not like the aero for the rear but might end up with them anyway. Do you think with the leg front and aero package rear and sides it will look good? I have seen that pic but it is hard to blow it up without distortion. Thanks

Japan8 is so correct on the street conditions here. The street conditions in the City are the best.

I will try to get you guys a better pic of the Leg aero kits, but everyone is on the golden week here. I will have some time for a ramen run :D

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but I found these pics and thought they would give a good example of other kits available.

You know. I didn't like the appearance package at first. It's really grown on me. Those aero side flares were the worst, but now... now I see how they make the rear seem wider and more aggressive. On of my neightbors has just those and the loop spoiler. It acutally looks kinda good.

The LEG MS lip, like all lips, isn't so different than the appearance package lip. I like it a lot though... it's shapr has character... something different than all the others and to me it makes the car seem more aggressive than all the rest. As such, I think it'll look good with the rest of the appearance pacakge. The rear aero flares... I dunno... I hate 'em sometimes... look tacked on, and others I think they help to fillout the look. You'll have to be the final judge of them...

ONe thing about the R-Magic kits... the are all urethane I think. I can 100% confirm that the lip kits are... it says so in their ads at least.

So true, The lips all seem to conform to the original body and don't stand out from the perform package, but it just depends on which one you favor more in the thickness of the lip and also frp, carbon, urethane, or even abs.

If you have a stiffer suspension setup and careful driving, going with frp or carbon will not be a problem.

I'm going to post some more pics of other kits that we can get as well so hold your bandwidth

So Revolution X is tied to INGS+1? As Revolution X also offers engine and suspension parts for the 8...

I think the CF spoiler on the blue 8 gives it that Skyline GT-R look, very cool imho.

Anybody know what rims are those on the LEG car?.

Yes I did! Thanks for the quick response and good pricing. I just feel I am too low for a body kit here in Texas. I want one bad but just do not want to rip it off. And raising it is out of the question. Thanks for all of the information though. Lee
