Legal Window Tint - All States

In my search for the legal limits on window tinting, I found this website...

http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/

Gives the legal limits by State, very useful.

Just trying to be helpful

that seems to be the norm otherwise they'd lose a lot of business. the guy i am looking at said he'd advise me on what was legal but what i chose to put on the windows was up to me. after i drove off his lot he had no responsibility for any tickets i incurred. of course he also proceeded to tell me that he tints all the local cops' cars and not one has legal tint.

yea any place can tint it however dark you want. they may even do the front windshield if you really want. however it isn't in their responsibility if you get caught (so when the cop asks you where you got the tint at, don't think of naming the place haha).

i got a ticket previously for front tints and i bought a set of windows to replace. i figure it to be an investment in the long run.

That's true if you are comparing cops to the tint laws we are subjected to, however if you look at the law you'll notice it exempts law enforcement and emergency vehicles from the tint restrictions we regular citizens "abide" by.

I'm not a big fan of really dark tint (15% or less) and I didn't want to risk additional harassment from cops so I went with 35% tint all around (although the actual VLT is probably less).
