That pic is edited like a ****. I have never seen plastidip done well in person and at Wek Fest there were a couple of cars that were done by supposed professionals.

Like the bronze series II. Haven't seen much plastidip in person, can't really have an opinion on quality.

Dude get over yourself, not your cars that are getting plasti dipped. You paying for my gas, insurance, car note? No? Its stupid seeing your posts, bitching like some 10 year old. Everyone has their own preferences, is their a rule book on how your supposed to modify your car now or something? Cause if there is, I would love to see it. I would like to know how to modify MY car to please your taste.

Hey now no need to get all angry here. Not everyone shares the same opinion that plastidipping looks bad, and though he does have several posts basically saying "I don't like plastidip" he is still free to express his opinion, and we should respect that he simply does not like plastidip. Plastidipping is not quite as common as people may think, so it could be very likely that he has not seen a car with it done well. That being said, many of the cars I have seen have smaller parts plastidipped, which is much easier to "get right" and have look good. Larger areas, they are a bit harder, so someone who jumped the gun and plastidipped their entire car without having practiced several times before, probably did not do a perfect job. My buddy's 240sx is over 20 years old now, so compared to the original paint job, any plastidip looks better. That being said, we have recent done some more minor parts, such as my roof, then redoing it (cans first time, spray gun second time) we have decided to peel his car and do it ourselves to improve the quality.

In the end, it is harmless, it can act as a cover, and it hides imperfections better than wrap, so what the heck. If one ever decides to sell, he/she would be glad to have plastidipped their car and protected the exterior from miscellaneous chips, straches, etc.

It's JUST plastidip,

Want some cheese with that whine? Why do you care so much what I think? It's my preference bro, it's a public forum, so if you don't like what I have to say then add me to your block list.

Yeah a public forum. Meaning anyone and everyone can post what they have and or like. You come into a plasti dip thread and you come in guns flaring "oh it looks like ****" "oh I hate it" well good for ******* you. We got it the last couple of pages of you talking **** about it. If you don't like it dont look inside this thread. It gets tiring seeing you post the same **** over and over again. If you cant respect the work people put into their car regardless of how "cheesy" and "shitty" it may seem to you. Than you sir are no true car enthusiast. Having an opinion good for you, your free to say it. But attacking peoples cars the way you do. Just seems childish.

Dude, sack up. Yes it is a public forum, and you will get opinions from both sides and some of it you may not like. Put him on your block list and you never have to see his posts.

I'm not attacking anyone, I just think Plastidip looks like ****. Will my opinion ever change? I doubt it because in person it looks like *** 99.9% of the time. It's my opinion, and if you don't like it I could give a F#$k less. And like I said, if you are tired of seeing my posts then the fix for that is but a click away man.

But I thought your car was pretty clean already so to me you just ruined it.

lol, I swear to god, if one more person posts "Dude, its a public forum..." I'll toss my laptop out the window.

I get what 9k's trying to say, he just has a super abrasive way of saying it haha
While I may be new here, I've lived on car forums for years. 9k's definitely got the expertise to back up his opinions too, and I've found great value in it during my first year of owning my '8. That said, I feel for you Unknown_D, He's torn a couple of my threads apart too Including my dipped corners in this thread

Livewire said it: Its just plasti-dip. like, love, hate and post more pics!

Do you have a closer shot that actually shows the pearl clear? It looks like flat white to me.

... you know.. like a Stormtrooper. Get it?

Stormtrooper.

Also I did my wheels with the Anthracite wheel kit from dip your car.
Supposed to look like this:

But really ended up looking a lot closer to flat black with an almost unnoticeable amount of metallic flake.
I'm going to try getting it off and painting the wheels gunmetal with real paint, and if that goes to **** I guess I'll just have them powder coated.

Oh, also I used an entire can of "glossifier" on one wheel.... and it still looks like flat paint.
