Let's see your plasti-dipped parts!!

The 8 I bought my daughter was raped by that rattle can, and still suffering from the atrocity. Slowly gathering parts and planning a repaint. Unfortunately the car has fallen into the ricer budget, I only paid 4 for hers, but it is her first car and a manual so she is learning what not to do"dip-trend" and develop the appreciation of a sports car. There are a butt-load of sprayed cars here...horrible

the owner who had my car before painted, not plastidipped, but actually painted the front emblem and super glued it back on.
Now, old faded paint drips running down the front bumper and the yellowish glue is very very visible underneath the emblem. AND he didnt even paint the rear emblems!
Talk about symmetry ocd...

Plasti Dip, definitely has it's place. Just like paint, whether or not it's distasteful largely depends on it's application. While I wouldn't dip an entire car, I see nothing wrong with dipping rims, splitters, spoilers and other highly punished surfaces. Yes the surface finish is not to the level of enamel or acrylic paint, but it's far from woeful.
