Let's see your plasti-dipped parts!!

Pretty much.
Looks are subjective to an extent but some things just look like **** and plastipdip is one of those things 99% of the time. It's real popular lately and I have had the pleasure of seeing it in person on a few different levels and I have not seen it done cleanly yet. I doubt anyone here will suddenly do it great and change my opinion of it.
I can see using it for a functional/protective purpose though such as how PDX used it.

I don't get why you must be so negative all the time, 9krpmrx8. Criticism is always good, but you take things to the personal level with people which is really quite inappropriate. We're all 8 owners here - and not all of us are in our midlife crisis stage of our lives and can afford to build our cars to your liking.
I'm going to be dipping my rear emblems, fender strakes, and Mazdaspeed spoiler metal riser thing (??) black to match the matte black paint scheme I'm doing on my MS kit (rather than gunmetal). I dipped my emblems on my last car and it's a great look imo. I'll take pics soon

I have just stated my opinion, it's nothing personal. Just because I don't like something doesn't mean I am being negative and I am hardly negative all the time so I'm not sure where you get that from.

You know a lot about Rx-8s. You can afford to do what you want to yours. You have a strong opinion. We get it. What we don't need is you being an *** to everyone.

Exaggerate much? Grammar is important and he showed that he was bad at math all on his own, I didn't have to point that out. I never attacked anyone. I never called anyone an idiot. I never insinuated that people who use plastidip are poor, only that they are cheap (for the most part). I cannot afford to do what I want to my RX-8, if I could it would have a built 20BT in it. My opinions are just opinions. And what we need is less pantywaists who get butt hurt so easily by random people over the internet

Why get all sad over someone's opinion on the internet?
9k isn't a bad guy like you are painting him to be, opinionated at times yes, but really?
Straighten out your panties, and grow a pair.

I been having a can of this **** for four months and have resisted the temptations to use it... Although.. it's pretty easy after you see a few cars with it done in real life... Anything pass dipping your emblems is going to be over kill in my opinion.

I actually did get to see a friends GTI that was completely plastidipped black, looked and felt great, had it professionally done. Looks like a really good matte paint job even up close, and only cost him $300. I'm not saying we should all plastidip our whole car, but for the price and if its done right, id rather get my parts plastidipped than painted any day. And once i get sick of it, ill peel it all off and be stock again at no price.

I just bought FOUR cans of this **** and painted ALMOST my entire car. When I finish it tomorrow I will post pictures. You are going to HATE it!
Edit: Get ready VR lovers. My baby is all kinds of red and black now. My favorite parts are the parts I caked on too thick. It is the epitome of ghetto.

If you know what you are doing and have patience the plasti dip comes out well...
I HAD NO IDEA WHAT I WAS DOING AND WASTED 2 DAYS OF MY LIFE.
So I went and bought some wheel spray paint and did my wheels up.
